For the 4th of July, we went with some friends Deb and Dan and their cute little boy Mark to the Submarine Museum in Groton, CT. We were planning to spend the day at the beach in Rhode Island but woke up to overcast drizzly weather so we made a quick change of plans. We also went into Mystic, CT and had lunch and walked around. The Submarine Museum was neat--we toured the Submarine USS Nautilus. Nautilus is the first ever nuclear powered sub. It was also the first to pass under the north pole (that sounds super scary to me to be under that much of ice). Annie had a fun time walking around and as usual, we were in full Americana Gear. Happy 4th!
