Hawaii is Paradise...

Much to our dismay, we finally are home from Hawaii...Oh it was PARADISE! Usually when we are on vacation, we really enjoy the break but are "ready" to get back to our normal routine/schedule/lives. However, this was definately different this time--we both commented that we both could have stayed there alot longer and not gotten sick of it! We love Hawaii!!! We stayed on the island of Oahu at Ko'Olina Resort. It was beautiful. Here are some of our pictures--there are alot but it's only a sampling of the 227 pictures we took!!!
Our arrival--my Dad bought us leis. A true aloha welcoming!
Walking around the resort on our first day.
The whole gang in front of one of the lagoons on the resort. It was BEAUTIFUL!
Sean gives Annie a shoulder ride.
One of my favorites of Michael and Ben--isn't that so cute. They are good friends. One of the views of the lagoons and pool at the Marriott (we didn't actually stay here, we stayed in a condo on the property). There were 4 lagoons and all were beautiful.Eating a Dole Pineapple Whip Waffle Bowl--it was huge and YUMMY! At Dole Plantation--we stopped there just for the Pineapple Whips. YUMMY.
You can't see it very well but that shape in the water is actually a sea turtle we saw up on the North Shore. Sean saw another sea turtle when we went spear fishing too--more pictures on that further down.My brother Michael and Sean at Waimea Falls--we swam in the waterfall there. It was so beautiful!More of Waimea falls.Sean and Annie at the pool--it was perfect for her because it had a huge wading pool--she was working on perfecting walking and loved that she could walk along the edge for a long time.Annie in her "tent" at the beach at Ko'Olina.Ben was so sweet and actually got in the "tent" with her to play. He is such a great uncle! At Pearl Harbor touring a submarine (I think it was called the Bullfish or something like that). Rambo Sean with Josh on the sub.

Annie couldn't go on the sub so my mom walked around with her--or rather Annie pushed the stroller around. At Waikiki Beach having fun.
At Waikiki at sunset Sean and I at Waikiki.Annie and Jenny at Haunama Bay to go snorkeling. Annie had fun in the sun.Walking around with uncle Ben.Josh and Ben getting a tan. I love how Ben is spread eagle:).Bad pic but so funny...I couldn't really smile becuase of the mask. Sean and his friend and past boss Mike Whiting spear fishing in Laie. Mike is there on sabattical (not too bad location eh)?The mighty warriors return from the hunt (empty handed). Our happy family in Laie at the Point. A beautiful Hawaiian Sunset.
It was such a great trip--we can't wait to go back. Hopefully it won't be too long till we get back! The only bummer thing was the airline breaking our stoller rear wheel on the way there and the airline losing our carset on the way back. The carseat is found though so we're just waiting to get it back. Thanks so much for a FABULOUS trip family. We miss you so much. We can't wait to see you all again this summer for a certain someone's wedding!!!!! We can't wait!

Great pictures, guys. I've never been to Hawaii, but definitely want to go. Nathan is thinking maybe we'll save up and go next year. (!)

Glad to have you back!

Hey Brittiny--I would have still gone if my family wasn't there. We don't mind having Annie with us. She is such a good baby (and I'm not just saying that). It would be hard to be gone for 2 weeks I think. But if you are leaving her with family, it would be alot easier than with someone else. Good luck!
